Ranchi: With the message of promoting public hygiene and cleanliness, the Justice Commissioner of Ranchi along with all the judicial officers of the district launched a massive cleanliness drive in the Civil Court premises on Saturday. This massive cleanliness drive has been started in the light of the guidelines received after the recent inspection visit of Chief Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan of the High Court of Jharkhand. This initiative is being run with the cooperation of the President of Ranchi Bar Association and many advocates.

This campaign was started by the Justice Commissioner, Ranchi, in which judges and advocates expressed their collective commitment towards cleanliness by picking up brooms. Cleaning work on such a large scale in the court premises had never been done before, setting a new standard of dedication and devotion.

Addressing the gathering, the Justice Commissioner said that it is necessary to maintain cleanliness and dignity of the court premises as it reflects the prestige of the institution. The President of the Bar Association also reiterated the same sentiment and urged the advocates and employees to take responsibility for the cleanliness of their surroundings. This initiative reflects a new level of commitment and enthusiasm by both the Bar and the Bench and exemplifies the best coordination for a common purpose.

The campaign will run till 10th August 2025, in which all the court blocks, waiting areas, record rooms and surrounding pathways will be cleaned. Many volunteers including court staff, para legal volunteers and members of the Bar have taken oath to participate in this civic responsibility.
