Gumla: In a village under Sursang police station area of Raidih block, six youths kidnapped a minor girl and gang-raped her. After the rape, when the victim fainted, they thought she was dead and threw her in the forest and fled from there.
The victim's father has filed an FIR against the accused, after which Sursang police arrested all the accused and sent them to jail. The youths who have been arrested include Surendra Arpan Roshan, Vimal, Sanju Ram, Amardeep Kullu and Dinesh Tirkey alias Nitin.
Police station in-charge Mukesh said that there was a wedding in a village of Sursang, where the procession had come from Simdega. A minor from the same village had gone to attend the wedding. At 9 pm, the minor had gone out for defecation with her three friends. During this time, these six youths caught three of them. Out of these, two girls ran away while the third girl, who is the victim, was caught by the youths and raped.
