Trump on India Pak Ceasefire: In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, US President Donald Trump said that he is the one who brought about ceasefire between India and Pakistan. I don't like war. He said, 'I used trade to a great extent to do this and I said guys, come on. Let's make a deal. Let's do some business.' Billionaire Elon Musk was also present during this time. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also praised it.
Trump said, 'Let's not trade nuclear missiles. Let's trade the things that you make so beautifully.' Trump had claimed a day earlier that his administration had prevented a 'nuclear conflict' between India and Pakistan and told the South Asian neighbours that if they end the hostility, America will do 'a lot of business' with them.
At the same time, India rejected this claim of Trump. India's Foreign Ministry had said that Pakistan had appealed for ceasefire, after which ceasefire happened. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal had said that there is no need for mediation of any country in the matter of Kashmir and in any case talks have to be held with Pakistan on PoK. Kashmir is an integral part of us.
