Deliberations on Passenger Amenities and Development at Ranchi Airport
Ranchi: Sanjay Seth, Minister of State for Defence and MP from Ranchi, inspected the proposed site for an open gym in the Airport Colony, a project being established based on his recommendation. He met with local residents to understand their needs and suggestions and instructed officials to prioritize works related to public interest.
Ranchi Mayor Roshni Khalkho, Birsa Munda Airport Director Vinod Kumar, Airport Authority officials, and local citizens were present during the inspection.
Subsequently, a meeting of the Airport Advisory Committee was held at Birsa Munda Airport, Ranchi, chaired by Sanjay Seth, the Minister of State for Defence and the committee's chairperson. Committee members, the CISF Deputy Commandant, representatives from various airlines, and officials from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) participated in the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held on several key issues aimed at providing better, safer, and modern amenities to passengers. Major topics included development works under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the expansion of air connectivity services from Ranchi to various cities, streamlining parking and traffic arrangements within the airport complex, effectively curbing illegal parking near the terminal building, and ensuring the availability of facilities like hotels and rest houses in the vicinity of the airport.
The meeting also involved deliberations on the overall development of the airport, enhancing passenger amenities, and further strengthening infrastructure to meet future requirements. Public representatives and officials suggested that coordinated efforts be made to make Ranchi Airport more convenient and modern for passengers.
