Run for Lohardaga” Conveys Message of Fitness and a Drug-Free Life to Youth


Lohardaga: On the occasion of the district's 43rd Foundation Day, the District Administration grandly organized the “Run for Lohardaga” event. Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar Meena flagged off the run from the Collectorate premises; the route extended up to the CM Utkrisht Nadiya Hindu High School. A large number of youths, students, and citizens enthusiastically participated in the event.


Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner extended his greetings to the district residents on their Foundation Day and stated that the youth should remain conscious of their health and make sports and physical activities an integral part of their daily routine. He emphasized that a healthy youth population serves as the strong foundation for an empowered society and a developed nation. Furthermore, he appealed to the youth to adopt a drug-free and positive lifestyle.


At the conclusion of the event, the winning participants were honored with medals and trophies. Prior to this, a tree-plantation drive was also conducted within the Collectorate premises by the Deputy Commissioner and other officials.


Present on this occasion were Sushma Neelam Soreng, Jitendra Munda, Amit Kumar, Shraddha Kerketta, Samir Tirkey, Shivnandan Baraik, along with other officials, staff members, and a large number of participants.
