Eco-tourism to Receive a Boost in Jharkhand; Chief Minister Directs Formulation of Coordinated Action Plan
The fourth meeting of the Jharkhand Eco-Tourism Authority (JETA) was held at the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly in Ranchi, presided over by Chief Minister Hemant Soren. During the meeting, emphasis was placed on identifying various potential eco-tourism sites across the state and focusing on their development. The Chief Minister directed the Departments of Forest, Tourism, and Water Resources to formulate an action plan through mutual coordination. Discussions were held regarding the development of eco-tourism in regions such as Maithon, Netarhat, Patratu, Dumka, and Chaibasa. He stated that eco-tourism would generate employment opportunities for local residents and lend a new identity to the state's natural beauty. Special emphasis was laid on the implementation of these schemes within a stipulated timeframe.
