Ranchi: The scrutiny of nomination papers filed by candidates under the Municipal (General) Elections-2026 was completed today. The process was conducted with complete transparency in accordance with the rules of the State Election Commission at the offices of the Returning Officers located in Block-A and Block-B of the Collectorate.
General Observer Sandeep Kumar Doraiburu visited the offices of various Returning Officers and observed the scrutiny process. He expressed satisfaction with the verification of documents and adherence to the Election Commission's guidelines. During this time, the nomination papers, affidavits, and other necessary documents were meticulously examined in the presence of the candidates and their representatives.
District Deputy Election Officer Rajesh Kumar Sahu was also present on the occasion. He monitored the entire process to ensure the fairness and legality of the elections. Following the scrutiny process, the status of valid candidates in the electoral fray has now become clear.
