Elections and Examinations to Continue Despite Shab-e-Barat Holiday
Lohardaga: According to the executive order issued by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language, the holiday declared on February 4, 2026, on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat will not affect the work related to the Municipal (General) Elections, 2026. The administration has clarified that all election processes, including nominations, will continue as per the pre-determined schedule.
Similarly, the secondary and intermediate examinations will also be conducted according to the scheduled dates. The district administration has appealed to citizens, candidates, and students not to be confused and to adhere to the scheduled dates.
