Babulal Marandi should stop making statements and demand farmers' rights from Nirmala Sitharaman: Dr. Irfan Ansari
Ranchi: The departmental minister has reacted sharply to the statements made by the BJP legislative party leader regarding paddy procurement and Minimum Support Price (MSP). He said that Marandi's statements are not only baseless and misleading but also expose his political frustration on the issue of farmers.
Dr. Ansari said that he, as the departmental minister, has himself set the target for paddy procurement, and the state government will achieve it with full commitment. Paddy procurement continued until July last year, and there is still ample time this year. The paddy procurement situation is satisfactory in several districts.
On the question of MSP, he directly attacked the central government, saying that it has stopped providing funds to Jharkhand for this purpose. Dr. Ansari openly challenged Marandi, saying that if he truly cares about the farmers, he should stop making statements, go to Delhi, and demand the rights of Jharkhand's farmers from the Union Finance Minister.
