Deadline Set to Clear Blurred Voter Photos by February 4
Ranchi: Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar held a review meeting with Deputy Electoral Officers of all districts and stressed improving the quality of photographs in the voter list. He directed that all cases related to blurred or low-quality voter photos must be resolved by February 4 without fail. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been instructed to take fresh photographs of voters through the BLO App and upload them promptly.
During the meeting, he said every BLO should have complete information about voters of their polling booth, and voters should also know their respective BLOs. The Election Commission of India has provided the “Book a Call with Your BLO” facility through ECINET, enabling voters to directly register complaints and seek assistance. BLOs were also asked to use the call-back feature to respond to voter queries on time and ensure quick resolution of issues. Joint Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar and other election officials attended the meeting online.
