RIMS OPD Paralyzed for Four Days; Patients Suffer Due to Printer Ink Crisis

Ranchi News: Administrative negligence has once again come to the forefront at RIMS, the state’s largest government hospital. OPD registration has remained completely halted for the past four days due to the unavailability of printer ink at the registration counters. As a result, thousands of patients visiting daily are facing major difficulties.

With no registration slips being issued, long queues have formed, and many patients are unable to consult doctors on time. According to hospital staff, the printers used for OPD registration have run out of ink, but the concerned department has still not supplied new ink cartridges.

Patients expressed disappointment, saying that such a basic shortage in a major medical institution like RIMS is extremely shameful. Many patients travel from distant and rural areas for treatment, but due to the shutdown of OPD services, they are being forced to return without receiving medical care. The disruption in registration has significantly affected the hospital’s daily functioning, which handles thousands of patients every day.

In this regard, M Bharat 24 News Live attempted to get a response from the hospital administration, but no official comment was received until the time this report was filed.

The continued shutdown for four consecutive days exposes serious administrative negligence. Meanwhile, speaking anonymously to the M Bharat 24 News Live correspondent, several patients and attendants demanded that the RIMS administration take immediate corrective action so that essential healthcare services are not disrupted due to shortages of basic supplies.
