Ranchi: On the occasion of Human Rights Day, the District Legal Services Authority (DALSA), Ranchi organized a legal awareness programme at DAV Public School, Bariatu. The event was held under the directions of JHALSA and the guidance of the Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi, with supervision by DLSA Secretary Ravi Kumar Bhaskar.
Deputy LADCs Rajesh Kumar Sinha, LADC Assistant Pankaj Kumar Sharma, PLVs Prahlad Upadhyay and Umakant Singh, along with the school principal, teachers, and a large number of students, were present at the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Rajesh Kumar Sinha said that every human being has the inherent right to live a life of dignity. He emphasized that all citizens are entitled to legal rights and protections. He also informed the students about child rights and explained the significance of observing Human Rights Day every year on 10 December. He further shared details about the toll-free helpline 15100.
He added that alongside the government, many NGOs and social organizations across the country are actively working to prevent human rights violations.
