DALSA Celebrates Human Rights Day at DAV Public School Bariatu, Emphasizes the Right to Live with Dignity

Ranchi: On the occasion of Human Rights Day, the District Legal Services Authority (DALSA), Ranchi organized a legal awareness programme at DAV Public School, Bariatu. The event was held under the directions of JHALSA and the guidance of the Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi, with supervision by DLSA Secretary Ravi Kumar Bhaskar.

Deputy LADCs Rajesh Kumar Sinha, LADC Assistant Pankaj Kumar Sharma, PLVs Prahlad Upadhyay and Umakant Singh, along with the school principal, teachers, and a large number of students, were present at the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Rajesh Kumar Sinha said that every human being has the inherent right to live a life of dignity. He emphasized that all citizens are entitled to legal rights and protections. He also informed the students about child rights and explained the significance of observing Human Rights Day every year on 10 December. He further shared details about the toll-free helpline 15100.

Pankaj Sharma stated that DLSA consistently works to spread awareness through such programmes so that more people can be informed and connected to beneficial schemes. He explained in detail the role of the District Legal Services Authority, the categories of individuals eligible for free legal aid, and other related benefits. He also informed the students about the upcoming National Lok Adalat scheduled for 13 December and said that litigants can get their cases resolved free of cost on that day, saving both time and money.

He added that alongside the government, many NGOs and social organizations across the country are actively working to prevent human rights violations.
