Disaster Preparedness Training Provided to Officers
Lohardaga: At the conference hall of the Collectorate, the NDRF conducted a detailed training session for district-level officers on disaster preparedness and rescue operations. The team explained how to protect oneself and save others during various kinds of emergencies. They also highlighted the purpose of NDRF’s formation, its areas of operation, and its role during different disaster situations.
Under the familiarization exercise organized by the District Disaster Management Cell, officers were trained in medical first aid, search and rescue in collapsed structures, handling chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) emergencies, flood rescue techniques, and methods of ensuring personal safety while assisting others during critical situations.
Training programmes scheduled at multiple locations till 17 December
The programme was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat, Additional Collector Jitendra Munda, ITDA Project Director Sushma Neelam Soreng, Sub-Divisional Officer Amit Kumar, DSP Sameer Tirkey, District Disaster Management Officer Pramod Das and other officials and staff.
