YJKSF Protests Delay in Exam Results, Locks Down Nilamber Pitamber University

Jharkhand/Palamu: The YJKSF Students’ Federation staged a protest and locked the Nilamber Pitamber University on Thursday, expressing strong resentment over the delay in the release of examination results and criticizing the university administration’s approach.

Following the protest, university officials — DSW S.K. Pandey and Controller of Examinations Ajit Kumar — met the students and informed them that the results would be delayed further. They explained that the delay was caused by the long festival holidays, which disrupted the evaluation process. The officials assured students that every effort would be made to announce the results as soon as possible.

It is noteworthy that the postgraduate results for the 2022–24 session have not yet been declared, leading to widespread anger among students, who accused the university of negligence.

Student leader Shravan Singh stated that the delay in the postgraduate results has caused significant distress to students, many of whom are forced to make repeated visits to the university. District president Vipin Yadav alleged that due to the university’s negligence, students are being deprived of opportunities for further studies as results are not being released on time.

District secretary Mohit Sahu said that students are particularly worried about their B.Ed. admissions, as the delay in results is preventing them from enrolling in B.Ed. programs. Vice president Krishna Yadav added that the university’s inefficiency is directly harming the academic prospects of students. He pointed out that B.Ed. counseling is in its final phase, and many students are unable to secure admission due to the university’s carelessness.

Students Naveen, Ranjit, Ayush, Omprakash, Aniket, and several others were also present during the protest.
