Chief Minister held a high level meeting with senior officials regarding Jharkhand PESA Rules

Jharkhand/Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a high level meeting with senior officials on Monday regarding Jharkhand PESA Rules. In this meeting held at the Chief Minister's Residential Office, he gave many important instructions to the officials while discussing in detail the various provisions of the PESA Rules related to the powers, rights and functions given to the Gram Sabhas under the traditional and local self-governance system in the scheduled areas of the state. The Chief Minister said that the provisions made under the PESA Act should be implemented in such a way that the tradition of local self-governance in the scheduled area of ​​the state can be strengthened along with the economic-social upliftment and empowerment of the tribal communities.
