Jharkhand/Ranchi : Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren attended the state-level launch of the "Healthy Women, Strong Family" campaign held at Sadar Hospital, Ranchi on Wednesday. On this occasion, the Governor and Chief Minister also wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday.
In his address, the Governor said that under the Prime Minister's leadership, India has made unprecedented progress in social, economic, and cultural fields over the past decade. The Prime Minister always places public welfare at the center of his policies. This campaign further emphasizes linking women's health and family empowerment with nation-building.
He said that a healthy woman is the foundation of a strong family, and a strong family builds a strong India. Under this campaign, health checkups and awareness camps will be organized across Jharkhand, from Ayushman Arogya Mandirs to district hospitals.
The Governor stated that the complete success of this campaign is possible only if public representatives, health workers, Panchayat members, self-help groups, Anganwadi workers, Saheya Didi, voluntary organizations, and the media actively participate. He expressed confidence that Jharkhand's officials, doctors, health workers, and citizens will work together to make this campaign a massive health awareness campaign.
The Governor called upon the people of the state to make this campaign a success with full enthusiasm and responsibility, furthering the Prime Minister's resolve for a healthy, empowered, and self-reliant India.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday and said that a healthy woman lays the foundation for a strong family and a strong society. The role of women is crucial in society. Only a healthy woman can empower a family and society. Our government considers women's health and empowerment a priority. The government is continuously striving for women's health, nutrition, education, and awareness.
The Chief Minister said that when women are healthy and safe, families will be strong, and future generations will also be healthy and empowered. Our government is giving top priority to women's health, nutrition, and safety, as women are the foundation of families and society. Today, women are progressing shoulder to shoulder with men in every field of society. Women are continuously advancing economically, socially, and educationally.
He said that through their active participation in employment and entrepreneurship, women are setting new examples of self-reliance. By taking advantage of self-employment schemes, self-help groups, and government policies, they are not only increasing their family income but also contributing to the economic development of society. In the social sector, women are playing a role of awareness, leadership, and participation. Their presence in panchayats and higher positions is giving new direction to society.
The Chief Minister said that only when women are empowered, society and the state will be strong. To this end, the government has implemented various schemes related to health, education, employment, and safety for women, including regular health checkups, maternity benefit schemes, distribution of nutritious food, health and hygiene campaigns for adolescent girls, and efforts to ensure a safe environment.
He stated that women's health camps are being organized in both rural and urban areas to ensure timely screening and treatment. In the field of education, girls are being integrated into the mainstream through scholarships, free education, and skill development programs. In the field of health, maternity benefit schemes, nutrition campaigns, and free health checkups are being provided.
The Chief Minister stated that today, the girls of our state are reaching new heights in education, health, and sports. They are displaying their talent not only nationally but also internationally. Whether it's in sports, academic achievement, or the fields of medicine and research, the girls of Jharkhand are bringing glory to the state with their hard work and dedication. This is a matter of pride for all of us.
On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, State Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari, Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash, Aditya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Ajay Kumar Singh, Chief Executive Officer (National Health Authority) Sunil Kumar Barnwal, along with other senior officials of the Health Department, health workers and a large number of women and girl students were present.
