Passenger facilities are our priority: Railway Board Chairman



Uttar Pradesh/Mirzapur: Railway Board Chairman Satish Kumar reached Vindhyachal Railway Station on Sunday after visiting Maa Vindhyavasini and inspected the ongoing construction works. He took stock of the development work being done in the station premises and circulating area and gave necessary guidelines.

He said in a conversation with journalists that "Today I have come to seek the blessings of the mother. I wish that our train runs safely and smoothly." He said that the construction of Vindhyachal railway station is progressing rapidly as per the pre-determined plan. So far about 75 percent of the work has been completed and the remaining work will be completed in the next five to six months. The dome work of the station building is remaining, which will be completed soon.

The chairman said that under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vindhyachal station is being rejuvenated under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. This station, which is being built at a cost of about Rs 25 to 30 crore, will provide better facilities to passengers and devotees.

In view of the upcoming Navratri, he assured that the railway will make special arrangements for the convenience of the devotees. Trains which do not have regular stoppages will be stopped temporarily so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience.

Senior railway officials including Zonal Railway Advisory Member Rajan Pathak were present during the inspection.
