Will fulfill the dreams of Binod Bihari Mahto: Chief Minister

Dhanbad: The unveiling ceremony of the life-size statue of Binod Bihari Mahto, the pioneer of the Jharkhand movement, was organized at the Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University campus in Dhanbad. On this historic occasion, Chief Minister Hemant Soren attended and paid tribute to him and said that this day is a day of pride for the entire state and the people of the state. He said that by removing our shortcomings, we are fulfilling the dreams of Binod Bihari Mahto.

The CM said that this university was established with the aim of making higher education accessible and strong in the Koyalanchal region and it was dedicated in the name of late Binod Bihari Mahto. He reminded that in 2014 his government laid the foundation of this university, which is in front of us in a grand shape today.

The Chief Minister said that we have never forgotten the sacrifices of our great men. Every intersection, every corner of Jharkhand bears testimony to their struggle and sacrifice. Even today, statues and memorials of the agitators are being built at many places. He said that the government is constantly making efforts to improve the quality of education. Be it school education or college education, more quality will be brought in it in the coming time. This will not only be seen but also felt.

The Chief Minister said that just as the university was named after Binod Bihari Mahto, similarly PMCH has been named after Veer Shaheed Nirmal Mahto. All this is a step towards realizing the dreams of the martyrs and leaders of the Jharkhand movement. Connecting the future generation of the state with their struggle and moving them forward on the path shown by them is our true tribute. As long as Jharkhand exists, Binod Bihari Mahto's name will continue to be taken with respect and pride.
