National Lok Adalat on May 10
Ranchi: Continuing the door-to-door awareness program, a Legal Services at Your Doorstep program was organized at Itki Bazar Tand of Itki Block. Umesh Kumar gave information about the National Lok Adalat to be held on May 10. He said that if any case is pending in the court, then you can get your cases settled on the day of National Lok Adalat, which will save you time and money. In the National Lok Adalat, all criminal reconcilable cases, civil cases, labor-related cases, matrimonial cases, family cases, product-related cases, check bounce cases, forest department cases, electricity-related cases, traffic challan-related cases as well as land acquisition, motor vehicle, measurement-weighing related cases and matrimonial cases are being identified and notices are being sent to the parties.
Apart from this, Baby Devi and Sangeeta Devi discussed child marriage, witch-hunting, child labor and drug eradication. He advised the youth not to take drugs and said that they should stay away from drugs and spend all their time in shaping their future. Child marriage is a crime, there is a provision of punishment for it. Addressing any woman or man as a witch-hunter also comes under the purview of crime. He also discussed the appointment of new PLVs in the police station and also gave information about the NALSA toll free number.
PLV Sangeeta Devi and Rina Linda gave information about 10 schemes of NALSA. They gave information about getting justice in matters like child marriage, dowry system, witch-hunting, female foeticide etc. Umesh Kumar also told the villagers about the ways to get free legal services from DALSA.
PLVs went door-to-door to know the problems of the people and told them to apply to the District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi for resolving the problems. PLVV Umesh Kumar, Baby Devi, Sangeeta Devi, Rina Linda, Shankar Sahu, Ajay Kumar Gop, Umesh Kumar, Rakesh Mishra and Raja Verma were present on the occasion.
