🔥'Red Corridor' Ends After 60 Years! India Becomes Naxal-Free; Nation Makes History

India has scripted a new chapter in the history of internal security. The Central Government has announced that no district in the country is now affected by Left-Wing Extremism (Naxalism). By achieving a decisive victory over Naxalism—which had posed a major challenge to the nation for nearly six decades—India has set a new benchmark for peace, security, and development.

The government's multi-pronged strategy—comprising security operations, modern technology, road and mobile connectivity, tribal welfare, rehabilitation policies, and good governance—played a pivotal role in this success. Over the years, hundreds of new security camps and strengthened police stations were established, alongside thousands of kilometers of roads and mobile towers, ensuring that development reached even the most remote tribal areas.

Schemes focused on the rehabilitation, education, employment, and financial assistance of surrendering Naxals also paved the way for them to renounce violence and rejoin the mainstream. According to the government, the number of Naxal-affected districts stood at 126 in 2014 but has dropped to zero by 2026. A record decline in incidents of Naxal violence and associated casualties has also been recorded.
