🇮🇳 India-Rwanda Trade Ties Strengthened: First Meeting of the Joint Trade Committee

The inaugural session of the India-Rwanda Joint Trade Committee (JTC) was held in New Delhi on July 30–31, 2026. During the meeting, both nations agreed to enhance bilateral trade, investment, and market access.


India highlighted the potential to boost exports of pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, textiles, medical equipment, and petroleum products, while Rwanda prioritized the export of coffee, tea, spices, avocados, minerals, and precious stones.


Both countries also agreed to strengthen cooperation in sectors such as mining, healthcare, agriculture, digital technology, green energy, fintech, and skill development. The 'Minutes of the Meeting' were signed on July 31, and an agreement was reached to hold the second session of the JTC in Rwanda next year.
