Door-to-Door Voter List Verification Drive Begins in Jharkhand on June 30; BLOs to Conduct House-to-House Checks
Ranchi: The Election Commission has intensified preparations for the special intensive revision of the voter list in Jharkhand. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar informed that a house-to-house verification of voters will be conducted across the state by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) from June 30, 2026, to July 29, 2026. During this period, BLOs will provide enumeration forms to voters and will also collect them following the verification process.
He stated that, under the special intensive revision drive, the mapping of approximately 73 percent of the state's voters has already been completed by BLOs, based on the previous voter list.
The Additional Chief Electoral Officer added that a list of voters whose mapping has not yet been completed will be displayed at all polling stations starting May 23, 2026. Additionally, the name and mobile number of the concerned BLO will be made available so that voters can contact them directly to ensure their mapping is completed.
He further mentioned that BLOs have also carried out the task of affixing stickers during their house-to-house visits; these stickers bear the name and contact number of the respective BLO. Furthermore, voters can also contact their BLOs through the "Book A Call" feature available on the ECINET app.
