Intensive Vehicle Inspection at Kachahari Mor; ₹70,500 in Fines Collected from 20 Drivers
Lohardaga: Under the leadership of District Transport Officer Jaya Shankhi Murmu, an intensive vehicle inspection drive was conducted on the main road near Kachahari Mor on April 18, 2026. The objective of this campaign was to sensitize drivers regarding the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and to ensure road safety.
During the inspection, the team scrutinized approximately 120 two-wheelers for compliance with standards such as helmet usage, possession of a valid license, proper number plates, and adherence to overloading regulations. Online fines totaling ₹70,500 were imposed—via e-POS machines—on 20 two-wheelers found to be in violation of the rules.
Throughout the drive, officials also engaged in awareness-building efforts, advising drivers to refrain from over-speeding and from using mobile phones while driving. The District Road Safety Team, the Traffic In-charge, and personnel from the police force were deployed at the site.
