Voters administered oath to vote, polling to be held on February 23
Lohardaga: In view of the Municipal (General) Elections, 2026, a comprehensive awareness campaign is being conducted by the SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) cell in the district to increase voter turnout. On Saturday, the cell's team visited various localities in the Lohardaga urban area and motivated people to ensure their participation in this great festival of democracy.
Under the campaign, special programs were organized at the Anganwadi center in Sarna Toli, Raghunandan Lane, and Nai Toli. During this time, officials informed the local citizens that they must exercise their right to vote by visiting the polling stations from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on February 23, 2026. The team provided voters with information about the importance of voting and also administered the 'Voter's Pledge' to them, urging them to vote compulsorily. Several officers and staff of the SVEEP cell were present on this occasion.
