Ranchi Municipal Corporation cracks down on illegal advertising, fines several shops
Ranchi, February 20, 2026 — The Ranchi Municipal Corporation launched a special inspection campaign against illegal advertising vendors in the city. During a thorough inspection from Church Complex to Doranda, several shops were found to have displayed banners and posters without permission, and fines were imposed as per the regulations.
The Studs Bar & Grill was fined ₹1,35,340, Puma (Nitro) ₹3,51,884, and Acer Exclusive Store ₹1,35,000. Pet Pooja Mini Restaurant, AA Hotel Kings Place, Rise Institute, Omega Home Processors, and Shave Cave Doranda were fined ₹25,000 each.
The Municipal Corporation stated that action against illegal advertising material will continue under the Jharkhand Municipal Act 2011.
