"Purvodaya" Initiative Gains New Momentum: President Droupadi Murmu Launches Development Projects in Rairangpur
Rairangpur (Odisha): President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday inaugurated the Information Technology campus of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University in Rairangpur. She also laid the foundation stones for an AYUSH Hospital-cum-Ayurvedic College, an Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology campus, an archery center, city beautification and drainage upgrade projects, an auditorium and cultural center, a girls' hostel, and a de-addiction center.
Addressing the gathering, the President said that under the Government of India's 'Purvodaya' vision, Odisha is being given a leading position in the mainstream of development, and Mayurbhanj district is benefiting significantly from this. She expressed confidence that the new institutions and projects would strengthen the education, health, and sports infrastructure in the region, and also create employment opportunities for local youth.
The President reiterated the government's commitment to the upliftment of tribal communities, mentioning the Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana, micro-credit schemes, tribal women's empowerment initiatives, improved health and education facilities, the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, electrification, and 4G connectivity in remote areas. She said that these efforts have accelerated overall development in tribal-dominated regions.
She urged all citizens to avail themselves of government schemes and spread awareness, stating that local development will ensure the development of the state and ultimately the country. The President emphasized that the goal of a 'Developed India' by 2047 will be realized only through the joint efforts of the government and its citizens.
