Jharkhand State Bar Council Elections: 70 Nominations on the First Day


Ranchi: The Jharkhand State Bar Council elections are in full swing. The nomination process began on Tuesday, and 70 candidates from across the state filed their nominations on the first day. Candidates, accompanied by their supporters, arrived at the council office in Doranda, where they submitted their nomination papers before Chief Returning Officer Justice Ambuj Nath. Assistant Returning Officers (Retired District Judges Alok Dubey and Shivnarayan Singh) were also present. Justice Ambuj Nath stated that Wednesday is the last day for filing nominations. On the first day, outgoing Chairman Rajendra Krishna, Vice Chairman Rajesh Kumar Shukla, and Bar Council of India member Prashant Kumar Singh, along with several senior advocates, filed their nominations. Voting for 23 posts is being held after nearly seven years, and will be completed by March.
