Auto and E-Rickshaw Drivers’ Meeting Postponed Due to Model Code of Conduct, New Date After 28 February
Ranchi: The proposed meeting of auto and e-rickshaw drivers organized by the Jharkhand Pradesh CNG Auto Chalak Mahasangh has been postponed. State President Dinesh Soni informed through a press release on Friday that earlier the meeting was scheduled to be held on 1 February and 3 February 2026 at Morabadi Maidan. However, with the announcement of mayor, deputy mayor and ward councillor elections in the state, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect. He stated that violating the code is a punishable offense, therefore the organization decided to defer the meeting. Now the next meeting of auto and e-rickshaw drivers will be organized only after 28 February 2026, once a new date is finalized after consultation with state office bearers. The State President has appealed to all drivers to maintain peace and strictly follow the election guidelines and Model Code of Conduct.
