Ranchi: Following the directions of the Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority (JHALSA), the District Legal Services Authority (DALSA), Ranchi successfully conducted a five-day special mediation drive at the Civil Court premises. The drive was organised to ensure speedy and amicable resolution of pending disputes through mutual consent.
The special mediation drive, which began on 8 December 2025, resulted in the resolution of a total of 104 cases. On the first day, 51 cases were settled, followed by 19 on the second day, 13 on the third day, 11 on the fourth day, and 10 cases on the final day.
On the last day, 51 cases were transferred from various courts to the Mediation Centre, Ranchi. Out of these, 10 cases were successfully resolved with the assistance of mediators and advocates. In all settled matters, both parties agreed to end their disputes amicably.
DALSA Secretary Ravi Kumar Bhaskar said that the role of mediators and advocates from both sides was commendable in achieving successful settlements. He added that such mediation drives help reduce the burden on courts and provide quick, cost-effective justice to the people.
