Ranchi: A strong reaction has surfaced over a video circulating on social media in which abusive and derogatory language was allegedly used against Guru Dronacharya. Taking serious note of the incident, advocates, representatives of various organizations, and social activists have lodged a formal complaint at the cyber police station.
Social activist Kumud Jha stated that the content of the video is extremely offensive and has hurt the sentiments of followers of Sanatan Dharma. According to him, the woman seen in the viral video has been identified as Jyotsna Kerketta. He emphasized that in Sanatan culture, the guru–disciple tradition holds immense significance, and the use of abusive language against Guru Dronacharya is an insult not only to a revered guru but to the entire cultural tradition and to the devotion and sacrifice of Eklavya as well.
Kumud Jha further alleged that the remarks appear to be scripted and part of a deliberate conspiracy aimed at creating divisions between two sections of the Hindu community. He pointed out that such indecent language was used from a public platform where even the head of the Jharkhand state was present, thereby tarnishing the dignity of the platform and the occasion.
He asserted that any form of indecency or attack on religion and the country’s cultural heritage will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He added that the struggle for truth and justice will continue, and those who attempt to undermine cultural values must learn a lesson from this episode.
Those who filed the complaint include Jyoti Anand, Kumud Jha, Krishna Mishra, Annu Pathak, Archana Mirdha, Sunil Sahu, Anoop Kumar, Ashok Pandey, Sudha Kumari, Chandan Pathak, Amit Jaiswal, Sastika Jaiswal, Amrit Raman, Anupam, and several others.
