Ranchi: Guru Gobind Singh Public School celebrated its Annual Sports Day “Athlekids” on 10 December with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation from students and parents alike.
Students from Nursery to Class 11 took part in a wide range of sporting events and showcased excellent skills to win medals and prizes. Major competitions included Biscuit Race, Hula Hoop, 50m and 100m Sprint, Relay Race, Rabbit Race, Duck Race and several other fun-filled activities. A large number of parents also attended the event, adding to the festive atmosphere.
To encourage the children, special races were also organized for parents. Their enthusiastic participation boosted the energy and excitement of the programme.
School Principal Shalini Vijay, in her address, said that in today’s digital era, outdoor sports are essential for maintaining both physical and mental well-being. She motivated students to participate regularly in sports activities and thanked parents for their constant support.
The event not only provided a platform for children to display their talent but also reinforced important values such as discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
