Jharkhand/Ramgarh: A friendly cricket match was organized on Wednesday between the Indian Postal Department and the Railway Department at the Barkakana Railway Station ground. The Railway team emerged victorious in an exciting contest that showcased sportsmanship and camaraderie between the two departments.
Assistant Postmaster of Ramgarh Cantonment Head Post Office, Ravishankar Rai, felicitated both the winning and runner-up teams. He emphasized the importance of sports in maintaining physical and mental fitness, saying, “Along with fulfilling our duties of delivering government services to every citizen, it is equally important to keep ourselves healthy. Sports inspire teamwork, discipline, and good health.”
The event saw enthusiastic participation from both departments. Among those present were Shambhu Datt Singh, Chandan Kumar Mahato, Vikas Kumar, Amar Kumar Yadav, Mrityunjay Kumar, Santosh Kumar, Rajkumar Kumar, Shambhu Kumar, and Chandan Kumar, along with several other officials and staff members.
The match concluded with a spirit of friendship and mutual respect, strengthening the bond between the Railway and Postal departments.
