FULL STORY
A sudden commotion broke out near Jubilee Park in the Bistupur police station area on Tuesday afternoon when a dispute between a woman running a tea stall and her husband escalated into a scuffle on the road. The woman was working at her stall as usual when her husband arrived unexpectedly and demanded money from the day’s earnings. When the woman refused to give him any money, the argument intensified.
According to the woman, her husband does not work and fails to contribute to household responsibilities. Instead, he frequently abuses her and their children, creating constant tension at home. During the argument, the husband repeatedly used offensive language, which angered the woman. In a fit of rage, she began beating him in the middle of the road.
Their young child kept crying and trying to stop her, repeatedly saying, “Mother, leave him, the police will come.” However, the woman refused to stop and declared publicly that she no longer wished to maintain any relationship with her husband.
Local residents gathered at the spot and managed to separate the two. The unexpected incident created panic in the area for some time. Police have been informed about the matter, and further investigation is underway.
