Ghatsila Election Result Will Be Surprising, Big Win Certain for NDA Candidate: Babulal Marandi

Jharkhand/Ranchi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State President and Leader of Opposition Mr. Babulal Marandi addressed a press conference at the party headquarters today and said that the BJP candidate in Ghatsila is heading towards a major victory. He extended his gratitude to the Election Commission for conducting the elections peacefully.

Mr. Marandi informed that voter turnout till 5 p.m. was around 74%, which is likely to increase further. He said that the constituency once considered “safe” for the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is witnessing clear signs of panic among its cadre. JMM workers, he alleged, tried to intimidate voters in the early phase of polling, but alert BJP workers and the Election Commission’s supervision foiled their attempts.

According to Mr. Marandi, the increased voter turnout in Ghatsila indicates that the public is fed up with the false promises of the Hemant Soren government, and this time, the people have decided in favor of the NDA.

Delhi terror blasts show frustrated terrorists are seeking new paths

Referring to the recent bomb blasts in Delhi, Mr. Marandi said that the incident demonstrates how terrorists, frustrated by the Modi government’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, are now resorting to new means.

He recalled that in August 2024, Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed, a doctor from a reputed hospital in Ranchi, was arrested for his alleged links with Al-Qaeda. “He was a doctor by day and an Al-Qaeda operative by night,” Marandi said. He further pointed out that several cases of terror links emerging from various cities of Jharkhand had surfaced earlier as well.

Marandi criticized the Jharkhand government’s silence on these incidents and said that only the Central Government and Delhi Police took effective action on such matters.

Bihar heading for a landslide in favor of NDA

In response to a question, Mr. Babulal Marandi said that the heavy voter turnout in Bihar clearly reflects the people’s faith in the NDA government. The polling percentage, he said, is expected to surpass that of the first phase.

He confidently stated that NDA is all set to return to power in Bihar with an overwhelming majority.

State Minister Mr. Saroj Singh and BJP Spokesperson Mr. Pratul Shah Deo were also present during the press conference.
