Jharkhand/Bokaro: A female patient died after surgery at Sadar Hospital on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Kareena Bibi (husband Tanveer Alam), Alkusha, Chas. The family has alleged medical negligence and demanded an impartial investigation into the incident.
Following the incident, the hospital management formed a four-member inquiry committee. It includes Deputy Superintendent Dr. NP Singh, Surgeon Dr. Arun Kumar, Female Physician Dr. Meeta Sinha, and Physician Dr. Mahendra Rajak.
The committee has been directed to conduct a detailed investigation into the incident and submit a report within 24 hours. As a preliminary action, Dr. Poonam Kumari, the female physician, has been removed from surgery with immediate effect, and a recommendation for her suspension has been sent to the Civil Surgeon. She has been ordered not to serve at Sadar Hospital until the investigation is complete.
