Jharkhand/East Singhbhum: Police has arrested two accused while exposing the shootout in the Ulidih OP area. Main accused Sagar Prasad alias Paji and his associate Heera Yadav have been arrested in police action. After both of them confessed to the crime during interrogation, weapons have also been recovered.
The incident is related to a dispute during drinking alcohol near Jagdamba Hotel. When the dispute escalated, Sagar Prasad shot 21-year-old Bunty Sharma, leaving him seriously injured.
In a press conference held at the SSP office on Wednesday, City SP Kumar Shivashish informed that the special team raided near Road No. 15, NH-33 and nabbed both the accused. Police recovered the pistol and a cartridge used in the incident from the veranda of Heera Yadav's house in Daiguttu.
Police investigation has also revealed that Sagar Prasad has a criminal history. He has also been previously named in Sakchi police station (Case number 105/2023) (Arms Act). At present, the police is searching for other criminals involved in this shootout.
