Ukraine/Kiev: Russia carried out its biggest airstrike on the Ukrainian capital Kiev so far, firing 805 drones and 13 missiles from late Saturday night to Sunday morning. 3 people were killed in these attacks, while many were injured. According to the Kiev Post, the Russian military has claimed that Ukraine's air defense systems intercepted or disabled 751 targets, but missiles and drones attacked 37 places across the country, causing fires in many places. Many residential and administrative buildings have been destroyed in these attacks. This is the first time since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war that a cabinet building caught fire in an attack on a government headquarters.
Ukrainian officials say that such attacks continued from Russia throughout the night. The attacks started with drones, which turned into missile attacks. Meanwhile, 24 countries led by France and Britain have talked about joining the international monitoring force to end the war. Kiev says that such security agreements will be effective only when Western soldiers are involved in it, but Russian President Putin has clearly refused to agree to this. US President Donald Trump has also been claiming peace talks between the two sides, but the current attacks show that there is no progress in the peace talks.
