Azim Premji Scholarship Launched for Government School Girls

Jharkhand/Khunti : The Azim Premji Scholarship has been launched to empower and encourage girl students from government schools to pursue higher education. The scholarship will provide financial assistance of ₹30,000 per year for the entire duration of their undergraduate course.

Girls can use this amount for their tuition fees or other necessary educational expenses. This initiative will benefit girl students who have completed grades 10th and 12th from a regular government school and are enrolled in the first year of a graduate degree or diploma (2 to 5 years in duration) in the 2025-26 academic year. It aims to encourage girl students from any recognized government school in India to pursue higher education.

It is open to girl students from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The application process will be online and free. The first phase of the application process will run until September 30, 2025, while the second phase will run from January 10, 2026, to January 31, 2026. All applications will be accepted only through the scholarship's official website. This information was provided by Azim Premji Foundation District Coordinators Saket Suman and Ashutosh Manjhi on Sunday. They stated that this initiative will provide girl students with the opportunity to pursue higher education and fulfill their dreams. They appealed to all eligible girl students and their parents in the district to take advantage of this opportunity by applying online within the stipulated time period and contribute to educating and empowering girls.
