Delhi : The Central Government has taken a decision clarifying its stand on the issue of descriptive content of the Mughal rulers and brief description of contemporary empires and their rulers being included in Indian history books. In this regard, the State Education Minister of the Central Government, Sukant Majumdar, said that the Mughal period has not been removed from the book, but such content has been removed which was repeated. Along with the Mughal Empire, the Delhi Sultanate was removed. He said that the Mughal period is a part of Indian history, it should be taught but should not be repeated unnecessarily.
