Major Opportunity for Jharkhand's Youth to Study Film and Media; MoU Signed with SRFTI

Ranchi: There is good news for the youth of Jharkhand. They will no longer have to rely entirely on other states for education in film and media. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Jharkhand Film Development Corporation Limited (JFDC) and the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata, in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

The objective of this agreement is to provide quality education and training to the youth of Jharkhand in the fields of film, media, and digital content. Under this initiative, training utilizing modern technology will be imparted at the Jharkhand Film and Television Institute (JFTI). Courses will be offered in various disciplines such as acting, direction, camera operation, video editing, sound engineering, screenwriting, digital media, and content creation for social media.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren stated that there is no shortage of talent in Jharkhand; what is needed is the right opportunity and proper training. This agreement will provide the youth with a platform to showcase their talent, enabling them to build careers in film, television, OTT, and digital media.

He emphasized the government's desire for the state's youth to receive quality education and training within their own state. This initiative will create new employment opportunities and boost the film industry in Jharkhand. In the near future, the state's artists, technicians, and young content creators will directly benefit from this.

Several National Award-winning filmmakers were also felicitated during the event. Numerous officials, artists, and members of the film fraternity were present on the occasion.
