✈️Great news for the youth of Jharkhand: Training to become aircraft engineers and air hostesses will now be available within the state itself
Ranchi: A golden opportunity awaits the youth of Jharkhand to build a career in the aviation sector. Spearheaded by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Eastern India's first government-run Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) institute is set to launch in Jharkhand. Alongside this, air hostess training will also be available within the state. The Chief Minister will inaugurate both courses in November, coinciding with the State Foundation Day.
The Jharkhand Flying Institute has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Delhi-based organization 'Venure' to conduct the AME course, while an agreement has been reached with AISECT Limited, Bhopal, for the air hostess training. Both courses will be operated under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model at the Jharkhand Flying Institute in Dhanbad.
This initiative ensures that youth from Jharkhand—as well as those from Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh—will no longer need to travel to other states for aviation training, thereby saving both time and money.
The AME course will span three years and offer 60 seats. The total fee has been fixed at ₹6 lakh, payable in three annual installments.
Two courses will be available for air hostess training: a six-month course and a 12-month course, each with 60 seats. The fee for the six-month course is ₹1,00,500, while the 12-month diploma course costs ₹1,55,500. The fee includes the cost of uniforms, grooming kits, and swimming training.
Captain S.P. Sinha, Managing Director of the Jharkhand Flying Institute, stated that all preparations have been completed in accordance with the Chief Minister's directives. The courses will commence once DGCA approval is received. The deadline for applications for the air hostess training is July 30. Interested candidates can apply via the Jharkhand Flying Institute's website.
