Corporation Takes Strict Stance on Strengthening Ward Offices; Work Completed in Most Wards
The Ranchi Municipal Corporation reviewed the painting and repair work of ward offices with the objective of enhancing civic amenities. During a meeting held on April 9, 2026—presided over by Additional Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Kumar—directives were issued regarding work progress, quality, and adherence to timelines. Work has been completed in 28 wards and is in its final stages in 5 others, while the tendering process or selection of premises is currently underway in the remaining wards. Officials have been directed to complete all pending tasks expeditiously. The ward offices will be equipped with essential services—including electricity, water, and restrooms—thereby enabling citizens to access facilities at the local level.
