Auto Drivers' Meeting and Strike Postponed for the Convenience of Students
Ranchi, April 18, 2026: The Jharkhand State CNG Auto Drivers' Federation has taken a significant decision in the interest of students. In a press statement issued on Saturday, the Federation's State President, Dinesh Soni, announced that examinations are scheduled to be held on December 29, 2026, at the Sarla Birla School located in Tati Silve. With this in mind, the previously proposed meeting and strike by auto drivers have been temporarily postponed.
He stated that ensuring students appearing for the examinations do not face any inconvenience is the Federation's top priority. This decision has been taken specifically with the objective of providing smooth transportation to examinees traveling from outside the area.
Dinesh Soni has appealed to all auto drivers and owners to charge only the prescribed fares and to refrain from collecting any extra charges from students. He warned that it is the responsibility of every driver to avoid any complaints or negative publicity regarding fares.
