Coin Fair Organized at Chamber Bhawan; Traders Receive Significant Support
Ranchi: A 'Coin Fair' was organized at Chamber Bhawan by the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries, in collaboration with Canara Bank. During the fair, coins of denominations ₹1, ₹2, ₹5, and ₹20 were distributed in large quantities among traders, with each trader being provided with coins worth ₹10,000.
Considerable enthusiasm was observed among the traders at the fair, which commenced at 11:00 AM. Nidhi Jhunjhunwala, Chairperson of the Banking Sub-committee, stated that the availability of small-denomination coins would facilitate ease in daily transactions and ensure the smooth functioning of market activities.
Chamber General Secretary Rohit Agarwal and Joint Secretary Rohit Poddar explained that traders had been facing a shortage of small coins for a considerable period; keeping this issue in mind, the fair was organized. They further added that similar events would continue to be organized on a larger scale in the future.
Several dignitaries and officials, including Canara Bank official Krishna Agarwal, were present at the event.
