16-year-old child is not treated: Ranchi Sadar Hospital
Ranchi: Ranchi's renowned government Sadar Hospital, which boasts of its lofty accolades, refuses to treat children 16. When a child suffering from fever is taken to the emergency department instead of prescription, the doctors in the emergency department refuse to even examine the child and advise them to go to the pediatric ward.
When the family arrives with the child at the pediatric ward on the first floor of the old building, the doctor who arrives after an hour of waiting, sends the child away, saying, "Because you're 16, you can't be treated in the pediatric ward. Contact the emergency department." When the family arrives at the emergency department, they are again advised to go to the pediatric ward.
When the pediatric ward doctor is told that the child was sent from the emergency department, the pediatric doctors then refer the child to a physician. When the door to the physician's chamber adjacent to the emergency department is found closed and the doctor is not available, the family waits for an hour and the doctor doesn't arrive, so they contact the emergency department where they are told to come tomorrow.
Will a child suffering from fever wait for tomorrow, asks M Bharat.
