Polling parties depart from Morabadi on February 22nd, voting on the 23rd
The district administration has completed preparations for the 2026 Municipal Corporation (General) Elections in Ranchi. Polling parties for the Ranchi Municipal Corporation and Bundu Nagar Panchayat polling stations will be dispatched from the dispatch center at the Morabadi Football Stadium on February 22nd. Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Manjunath Bhajantri inspected the polling stations late last night and directed officials to comply with the Commission's directives. Voting materials, vehicles, security forces, lighting, drinking water, and seating arrangements have been ensured at the centers. Voting will take place on February 23rd from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 909 polling stations have been set up in the 53 municipal corporation wards. The administration has appealed for cooperation in ensuring a peaceful election.
