
Meeting held to ensure success of Special Lok Adalat on Electricity Cases and National Lok Adalat
Jharkhand/Ranchi (M Bharat 24 News live): Under the banner of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ranchi, a meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Justice Anil Kumar Mishra-I to review preparations for the upcoming Special Lok Adalat on electricity-related cases scheduled on November 29 and the National Lok Adalat to be held on December 13, 2025.
The meeting was attended by A.J.C.-20 Arvind Kumar, A.J.C.-7 Akhilesh Kumari Tiwari, A.J.C.-15 Amit Shekhar, DLSA Secretary Ravi Kumar Bhaskar, along with officials from the Electricity Department including Anup Kumar Mahato, Devanandan Ram, Ajay Kumar, Sumit Kumar, Himanshu Kumar, Rajesh Kumar Mandal, Amit Kumar Bhagat, Alok Ranjan, Ravi Kumar Nayak, and Pankaj Kumar Jaiswal, among others.
While addressing the meeting, Justice Mishra emphasized that the objective of the upcoming Special Lok Adalat is to ensure the maximum disposal of pending pre-litigation electricity cases. He directed officials to prepare a list of all pending cases and inform the concerned parties either through notice or telephone so that maximum settlements can be achieved, providing relief and justice to the litigants.
A.J.C.-15 Amit Shekhar and DLSA Secretary Ravi Kumar Bhaskar jointly instructed department officials to conduct awareness campaigns in their respective areas, install posters and banners at block offices and public places, and distribute pamphlets and leaflets to inform people about the Lok Adalat.
A.J.C.-20 Arvind Kumar stated that during the upcoming National Lok Adalat on December 13, 2025, the goal remains the same — to settle as many cases as possible. He urged the officials to identify all pending electricity-related matters and ensure they are presented before the respective benches.
The DLSA Secretary further informed that in the National Lok Adalat, all compoundable criminal cases, civil disputes, family and matrimonial matters, labor disputes, excise cases, cheque bounce cases, forest cases, electricity disputes, traffic challan matters, land acquisition, motor accident claims, weights and measures cases, and marriage-related issues will be taken up for settlement. Notices are being issued to the concerned parties so they can utilize this opportunity for quick and cost-effective resolution of their disputes.
