Chhattisgarh/Raipur: In the famous DMF scam of Chhattisgarh, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday morning raided 18 locations in many cities including Raipur, Durg-Bhilai, Bilaspur and Rajim. Officials have informed that this action has been taken regarding the District Mineral Fund (DMF) scam of Rs 575 crore in the name of agricultural equipment supply. This raid has been done under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. According to sources, a large amount of DMF fund was misused through Chhattisgarh Seed Corporation.
The ED team started its action from Wednesday morning itself. ED raided the residence of businessman Vinay Garg in Shankar Nagar of the capital Raipur, the residence of hotelier Manideep Chawla in Swarnabhoomi Colony and the house of Rajesh Agarwal, who deals in agricultural equipment. ED has also raided the houses of Pawan Poddar and Satpal Chhabra, businessmen involved in agriculture business, in La Vista Colony of Raipur. Electronic evidence and documents have been seized during the search operation.
Apart from these, ED team has also raided the house of Anna Bhoomi Greentech Private Limited director Shivkumar Modi in Old Bhilai Vasundhara Nagar and Shanti Nagar of Vaishali Nagar in Durg district and Aditya Dinodia, who lives in Vivekanand Colony in Shanti Nagar. Anna Bhoomi Greentech Private Limited works in the field of agriculture and infrastructure. This company supplies drip irrigation system, barbed wire, chain link, RCC fence pillars, solar pumps and agricultural equipment. ED has also raided the house and shop of Ugam Raj Kothari located on Rajim-Mahasamund road. Businessman Raj takes government contract for the supply of agricultural equipment.
According to the ED's facts, the money was earned in connivance with people named Sanjay Shinde, Ashok Kumar Agarwal, Mukesh Kumar Agarwal, Rishabh Soni who made the tender and Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Ravi Sharma, Piyush Soni, Piyush Sahu, Abdul and Shekhar, who were middlemen. This has been confirmed by the 6 thousand page challan presented by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Raipur Court.
