Hemant government is busy in settling Bangladeshi-Rohingya and displacing its own people: Ajay Sah

Jharkhand/Ranchi: BJP state spokesperson Ajay Sah alleged that the Hemant government is busy in settling Bangladeshi-Rohingya intruders, while making new excuses to make the poor and helpless citizens of its own country homeless.

Sah issued a press statement on Tuesday and hit back at the press conference of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), saying that JMM cleverly refers to the letter of the Government of India in which the removal of encroachment was requested, but suppresses all those letters in which it is clearly written to rehabilitate the homeless and helpless people under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The policy of the Government of India is clear and transparent, to give houses to the poor and remove the intruders. On the contrary, the state government has tried to blame the Center for its failed efforts by removing encroachment without any rehabilitation plan.

Sah said that the Government of India and the Jharkhand High Court had directed the state government several times to remove the intruders, but the government kept making excuses every time. Today the same government is driving away those people who have been living in Ranchi for the last 40–50 years. Due to the non-conduct of municipal elections, the schemes to provide houses to the poor are hanging in the balance and in the schemes on which work is going on, crores of rupees have been embezzled by the state government and corporation officials.

He said that before removing any encroachment, the state government should ensure the arrangement of rehabilitation and at the same time it should also ensure that no new construction takes place there. The BJP spokesperson also alleged that the Hemant government takes action by looking at religion in removing encroachment. No action is taken on the illegal encroachments of a particular community in the middle of Ranchi city, while poor families of Hindu society settled there for decades are being continuously targeted.

Ajay Sah clearly said that this dual attitude of the state government is no longer hidden from the eyes of the public and in the times to come, the public will give a befitting reply to the JMM government.
