According to the information, on September 12, the police had received secret information that a trailer with Nagaland number (NL 01L6869) is carrying illegal liquor on the road from Nawabazar to Aurangabad. As soon as the information was received, the police took immediate action and stopped the vehicle. During interrogation, the driver said that the trailer was loaded with putty, but on suspicion, the vehicle was brought to the police station and investigated.
During the search, thousands of bottles of English liquor of various companies were recovered from the trailer, whose estimated value is about 45 lakh rupees.
At the same time, on verification from the District Transport Officer, the registration number and chassis number of the vehicle were found to be different. The arrested accused has been identified as Rizwan (25), a resident of Mewat district of Haryana.
The recovered liquor includes 80 cartons of Budweiser Magnum Strong Beer 500 ml (total 1920 pieces), 20 cartons of Royal Stag 750 ml (total 240 pieces), 25 cartons of Royal Challenger 750 ml (total 300 pieces), 165 cartons of Royal Carriage 750 ml (total 1980 pieces) and 160 cartons of Royal Carriage 375 ml (total 3840 pieces).
Along with this, a trailer vehicle and two mobiles have also been seized. The Superintendent of Police said that the accused is being interrogated and action will be taken after identifying other people involved in this illegal liquor business.
